Green Dreams

National Geographic Magazine October 2007

The article analyzes how making fuel from crops could be good for the planet, but after thinking about it twice. It has many pros but also cons that make it an issue of discussion among car producers and nature protection entities, such as National Geograohic.
This article is highly reliable because National Geographic has been recognized as a quality magazine tha discusses themes and issues about nature, such as Biofuel. It is important that theres only one magazine edition per month so the article that appear on it are studied and developed over long periods of time, which the article highly reliable and interesting. The article also has a lot of statistics and interesting images that increase the articles reliability.
The articles from National Geographic do not tend to be biased because they discuss about nature reality and present themes that have only one point of view. However, this article is somehow biased because the author tries to support and defend the employees who work at this crops and get a lot of infections and medical problems. The article tends to present the cons and not the pros of the biofuel.
I personally think that this article is really interesting because it presents an issue that had never been studied or discussed before. The reader can deduce that the author is really interested on protecting the rights of the workers and their medical care. The article also analyzes statistics that are shocking because they compare how the cons can decrease the importance of the biofuel. It is also interesting because fuels are an issue that not only matter to car producers but the entire world.
Based on this I predict that in the near future biofuels would increase their potential and more countries would begin to introduce biofuels as a source of energy in their society. However, countries would have to carry a lot of studies and health care programs in order to maintain the workers healthy as they deserve it.
